Patong is one of the most popular rest places in Phuket. By arrival to this Thai island, you arrived to the international airport that is situated in the north place of the island. Tourists are interested in how to get to the place of their destination, where they can book cheap and quick transfer from the airport in Phuket to Patong.
There are few ways to get from Phuket airport to Patong Beach:
Trip by bus
You can get to Patong by special airport bus that it called “Phuket Airport Bus Express”. As usual, there are not so many people and there are air conditioners.
The bus goes through Phuket town and stops few times, so the road will take you about one and half an hour. The price of this trip is about 120 baht. You can get on the bus in one of two stops. The first stop is on the first level of arrival hall (you should turn left near the exit and go forward about 100 meters). The other stop is situated second level (near the restaurant Burger King).
The bus arrives to supermarket Jungceylon in Patong. The first run is in 8:15 am and the last in 8:45 pm. The bus goes every hour. The one disadvantage it’s if the plane arrives late at night you should look for another way.
Minibus
The other cheap kind of transport is minibus. The price of ticket is about 180 baht and you can buy it near yellow post in the airport. There is no schedule for this minibus and the driver wait until the transport will be full of tourists. It is getting full very quickly.
It’s very comfortable because minibus takes all tourists to their hotels, but because of this it will take you much time than trip by bus. The minibus parking place is near the arrival hall on the first level.
Taxi from Phuket airport to Patong
The trip by can makes your journey from the airport in Phuket to Patong more comfortable and quicker. There are two taxi services: Taxi-meter and Limousine Service. The first service is state service and you should pay only by counter.
The trip to Patong will cost about 700-800 baht and you give them to the drive in the end of the road. The yellow post with the tablet “Taxi-meter” is situated on the first level near the exit of the airport. Limousine Service is private service and they have fixed price for trips.
It will cost you about 900 baht to get to Patong and you should pay the river in the beginning of the trip and you don’t need to pay any extra money. The taxi post is situated near the exit of the arrival hall and in the airport on the first level. The trip will take you about 35-50 minutes.
Renting the car
You can rent the car to get from the airport to Patong and use it to moving on the island. You will need international driver’s license (B category) and you should pay 300 $ (they will return this money to you). The price of renting the car per day begins from 900 baht. These transport companies are situated in the airport.
Personal transfer

The most comfortable way, is when the driver will meet you in the arrival hall with the tablet, follow you to the car and help you with luggage. The price for this service begins from 1000 baht per car (it depends on the class of the car).
