Prague International Airport is situated in 20 km from the center of the capital in the region Prague-6. You can get from it to any point of the city easily, using bus, air express, cab or transfer.

Bus

There is good connection of public transport. There are four terminals in capital airport, but most part of flights are served by 1 and 2 terminals. There are few bus stops in front of the building, from what depart transport regularly to the central part of the city. Using local bus №100, you can get to the underground station Zlicin (yellow line) in 15-20 minutes.

The first route departs from terminal 1 in 5:40 am and the last in 11:36 pm. It goes every 20-30 minutes. The other way is to go by local bus №119 to the underground station Nadrazi Veleslavin (green line). Trip to the last stop will take you about 15 minutes. This transport goes in 4:24 am and the last is almost in midnight and you won’t need to wait for more, than 10 minutes.

You can buy tickets for local trips in the special robot on the bus stop or ask the driver to buy it before departure. It would be the best to get to the center by limited ticket, because it can be used on every kind of transport. The price of the ticket, that can be used next 30 minute is 24 koruna (for children tickets are twice cheaper), for next 90 minute – 32 koruna (for children tickets are twice cheaper).

When you get in the bus, you should punch your ticket in on any other yellow punch, that is situated on railing. When you get in the another kind of transport, you should punch your ticket again. If tourists get to Prague by night flight, so they can also get to the center of capital by bus №510.

Bus 510 from Prague Airport to Prague

It route begins from terminal 1 and ends on the station Na Beranku, and it takes you a little more than one hour. You can get off on any stop and transfer to electric train (underground is closed in night time). Bus №510 do 2 runs in one hour, from midnight to 4 am. Limited tickets can also be used there.

Air Express

There are special air express, that go from air station to the center of capital. They depart every 30 minutes from terminal 1 and 2 (from 5:30 am to 9 pm) and go to the last stop Hlavni nadrazi (the main railway station) and stop on the station Dejvicka.

You can recognize this transport by tablet «АЕ», so are the stops. Trip will take you about 30-50 minutes. Usual tickets cannot be used in air express, you should ask the driver to buy special tickets. To Dejvicka trip will cost you 40 koruna, to the last stop 60 koruna (for children till 6 tickets are free).

Taxi

Those, who don’t want to use public transport and get to the place of their destinations with transfers, can book taxi or personal transfer. You can find the taxi at once by your arrival – there are many cars on taxi rank near the exit of any terminal, that are waiting for their passengers, but the prices are too high.

Taxi from Prague Airport to Prague

It would be cheaper to book car by phone or Internet. Trip to the center will cost you about 500-700 koruna and it will take you no more than 15 minute.

Personal transfer

Personal transfer from Prague International Airport to Prague (center) will cost you from 500 koruna. But in this case you can choose the right car (from economy class to premium), and the driver will meet passengers with the tablet at once in arrival hall. It will take you about 10-15 minute. 1. Train from Prague to Marianske Lazne

There is good railway connection between Prague and Marianske Lazne, so trip will be rather comfortable. Transport goes every 1-2 hour from 5 am to 6 pm. It departs from the main station in Prague Praha hl. n. (it is situated in the centre of the city). It won’t be difficult to get from the airport to the railway station: the best way to do this is trip by aeroexpress.

Train from Prague to Marianske Lazne

The bus departs from terminal 1 (the bus stop is situated not far from the exit from the building) from 5.30 am to 9 pm every 1.5 hour. Ticket costs 60 Czech koruna, you should ask the driver to buy it. There is the last bus stop in 45 minutes, that is Praha hl. n. The bus arrives to the old building of the station and you should go through it, reach the first platform and walk down by undercrossing, then you will reach the new building of the station.

There are booking offices to buy tickets, the trip will cost you 200-290 Czech koruna (it depends on the train and carriage). You can also buy online ticket beforehand. The direct goes about 3 hour, and if go with transfers, it will take longer, about 5-6 hour.

2. Bus

Bus is another kind of public transport, by what you can get to the resort, but you have to do few transfers and it makes your trip longer. The first points in Prague in your bus trips are Florenc (line B and C), Zlicin (line A) and Hradcanska (line B).

You can get from the airport to any bus station by bus, then transfer to underground or by cab. The trip will take you 30 minutes. The first bus from Prague to Marianske Lazne departs in 8 am and the last about 10 pm, there are many runs during the whole day, so you should only choose the best way with the least transfers.

Trip by route Prague – Vienna by bus is very popular among tourists because of many runs during the day, suitable schedule and low price of the tickets. This route is served by few transport companies.

Student Agency is one of the biggest European transport companies. All buses of this company differ with high level of comfort: there is free Wi-Fi, you can ask for tea or coffee, there are also sockets, air conditioners, toilets and TV sets. There few runs per day, which go every 1-2 hour (the first is in 3.30 am and the last is in 11.55 pm), they depart from the international bus station Florenc.

The Bus Student Agency from Prague to Vienna

There is Student Agency office in the bus terminal, you can recognize it by bright yellow colour. You can buy a ticket for the bus Prague – Vienna there, it will cost only 16-18 euro (it depends on the age of passenger). It will take you about 4 hour to get from Prague to Vienna, some of them go through Brno, in this case it will take you longer – about 5.5 hours. The last stop is the bus station in Vienna, that is situated near the underground station Stadion.

Eurolines is another big and famous transport company, that serves runs from Prague to Vienna. Transport of this company also differs with high level of comfort, but the price for tickets is higher – 19-21 euro. There is an opportunity to buy them for smaller price on the site of transport company, where are promos often, when you will be able to have an additional sale (about 10 euro) for your trip.

Bus station Florenc in Prague

The bus departs from the bus station Florenc in Prague, booking offices of Eurolines are situated near Student Agency office. But there are only two runs a day: in the morning in 8 am and in 1 pm. The last stop in Vienna is local bus station Erdberg. It will take you about 3 hour and 55 minutes.

There are also few runs from Prague to Vienna of other transport companies – MeinFernbus, Arda Tur, Radina VIP. You can buy tickets for these runs in the booking office in Florenc bus station and in the Internet, the price is about 16-26 euro. The transport arrives to Vienna to bus station Stadioncenter or Erdberg, the whole trip can take you from 4 to 5 hours.

Train

There is also an opportunity to get from Prague to Vienna by railway transport, it’s quick and easy. The main railway station in Prague (Hlavni Nadrazi) is situated in the centre of the city, you can get there on foot from Wenceslas Square, from this place go all trains to Austria. There are 7 daily trains and one night train, which go between two European capitals.

It will take about 4-5 hours, but it depends on transport company. Many tourists are interested in night train from Prague to Vienna, it departs in 11:58 and this trip will take you only 7 hour. The cheapest tickets are for the second class (with reserved seats) cost 19 euro, so in this case you should book them beforehand (you can buy tickets before 60 days to trip) online.

The petrol will cost about 30-40 euro and for renting service you should pay from 50 euro per day (the price depends on the class of car).

4. Booking transfer from Prague to Karlovy Vary

There is another way to get with big comfort to Karlovy Vary – it’s booking personal transfer or taxi. Cars of official taxi companies in Czech have number on the door and sign «Taxi» on the top.
